Spring is Chinook salmon time in BC. We fished with Fisher King Charters out of Prince Rupert and limited out with 2 apiece on June 28th. They were 30, 33, 24 and 16 lbs. Fish over 30 pounds are called tyee.

Water depth is 250 feet at the outside of the floating boat dock. We fished with downriggers pulling dead mackeral with a flasher at 55 feet. Bottom depth ranged from 90 to 300 ft.

We tried for halibut but only caught a small 12 pounder.
